1. Sometimes i have this Madam Auring-ish feel on things. I often indulge myself into thinking i am clairvoyant. That i had a potential super power or something. (Too much Heroes and Fringe.)
But really, as a student of Anthropology, they are simply patterns of behavior. A case of cause and effect too. Advantages and disadvantages. Or what Bourdieu calls habitus. Our set of behaviors and predicaments shaped by our own history. People are painfully predictable.
2. People are social beings, the need to belong is undeniable. That's the way you are, as Lady Gaga would have it, Baby I was born this way.
3.. Anthropology is observing - the way to learn. I often justify my being 'himantayon' on that paradigm.
4. I miss theorizing! And feeling so academic and esoteric... And using words like that! :)
